Just when I decided to put a stop to the discussion of Google Instant, something new and interesting happened in the search industry…

As you may have guessed it, Yahoo! is coming up with their own version of Google Instant! Or to be more accurate, Yahoo! is going to continue developing their “old” Instant Search technology, the one which they had implemented in 2005 but dropped it eventually.

Google Instant Is Slowly Permeating Into Every Corner of Google…

In the previous post, I’ve talked about the mixed feelings people have about Google Instant, an initiative by Google to help their users reduce their search time, although some people (like me) feels otherwise.

It was in September 2010 when Google first introduced Google Instant to the public and just today, as I was browsing the Google Places and Google Shopping (or Product Search), I realized that Google Instant has quietly slipped into these two types of search as well.
